EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES OF THE CPMT SOCIETY
Distinguished Lecturer Program
Our Society maintains a listing of technical experts in our fields who are available to Chapters and conferences as guest lecturers. These CPMT Society Distinguished Lecturers may request a stipend from the Society to cover unreimbursed travel costs in fulfilling a formal request to speak in such a venue. Each will give a brief presentation on the Society and its programs, along with their specialized talk, tailored to the needs of the gathering.
Please see our listing of Distinguished Lecturers and the guidelines for selecting and inviting a DL to be a speaker at your event.
Professional Development Courses
Our Society assists conferences in developing a robust Professional Development Course (PDC) program for their events, with dozens of screened instructors and technical topics. A day of PDC's can enhance the experience of the attendees as well as provide additional revenue and surplus for the conference. As an example, please see the 16 PDCs arranged for the ECTC in 2005.
For information on our PDC development program, please contact

Multimedia Educational Modules
The CPMT Society, with partial funding from the US National Science Foundation and the Georgia Tech Packaging Research Center, has prepared a series of "virtual laboratories" and lecture modules that can be used by technologists around the world. You may also use our free software, in conjunction with PowerPoint, to create your own multimedia instructional modules and arrange to have them mounted on the CPMT server.
