Sr Manager, Flip Chip Research and Development Engineering, in Chandler, AZ
We are currently seeking a Flip Chip Research and Development Engineering
Senior Manager for our Chandler, AZ office. The primary function of this position is to manage
high performance Flip Chip Research and Development Projects from conception to ramp up
into manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Manage high performance Flip Chip Research and Development Projects from
conception to ramp up into manufacturing
- Understand Flip Chip Technology and have the ability to apply it to a variety
of product platforms including consumer, telecommunications, computers, etc
- Drive Flip Chip Research and Development Programs by interfacing with stakeholders
in our Research and Development Facility, Business Units, Factories and Customers, to
obtain appropriate requirements and ensure deliverables occur per agreed upon timelines
- Ensure processes and/or packages developed and qualified, meet cost and quality targets
for the specific product platform
- Continuous communication with all of the stake holders on the Projects Managed
- Periodic updates to upper management to provide progress and identify potential program detractors
- Keep abreast on Flip Chip trends, roadmaps, new materials and competitor offerings
Job Requirements
- At least a bachelor level engineering or related degree, a master level degree is preferred.
- Required to have at least 8 years experience in advanced IC packaging
- At least 3 years of flip chip
(or equivalent) packaging experience, and experience with the Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly
and Test (OSAT) environment.
- Familiarity with Lotus Notes, MS Office, PLM Systems, Statistical Analysis packages such as
JNP, failure analysis methods, and basic understanding of FEM.
- Travel 10% domestically and 10% internationally.
- This position may require access to ITAR sensitive information.
Candidate must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, protected individual, or be
eligible to qualify for a U.S. State Department export license.
