Component Engineer with L-3 Cincinnati Electronics

L-3 Cincinnati Electronics is a Department of Defense contractor which requires
that all employees be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, a lawful permanent alien, refugee,
or granted asylum).
Responsibilities
- Apply high reliability part requirements to the
selection, procurement and inspection of Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical (EEE)
devices.
- Interface directly with both vendors and customers to handle piece part
related issues.
- Generate specification control drawings for procurement
of custom parts.
- Review documentation for received parts:
including electrical test results, certificates of conformance and all related
test data from vendors.
- Support failure investigations of EEE parts and be responsible for
reviewing destructive part analysis.
- Convert prototype designs into detailed drawings and production prints.
Qualifications:
- Must have a four year degree in Engineering with curriculum containing electrical,
nuclear or semiconductor materials based courses.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the aerospace high reliability
component engineering field.
- Working knowledge of EEE military specifications.
- Experience with GIDEP system desired.
- Must have computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to use database software desired.
- Experience specifying component screening/testing highly desired.
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Materials Science/Engineering, advanced degree a plus.
