This year's program will feature a series of half-day courses dealing with topics in magnetic recording, semiconductor packaging, RF test, process control, and more.
In most cases, course content has been chosen to explore the practical side of basic technology issues for technicians, entry level engineers, and other "hands-on" contributors, in addition to managers. Some special offerings are also planned for advanced technical contributors. The presentors describe these as "down-to-earth, intuitive classes for 'hands-on' people at all skill levels -- NOT complicated classes in aspects of design."
Most topics will be presented from noon to 5 PM at the UC-Santa Cruz Extension facilities on Bordeaux Drive in Sunnyvale, or at other convenient locations in Sunnyvale, Cupertino, or Milpitas. Lunch and a course handbook are included in the registration fee. IEEE members are entitled to a discount.
You can call or email the short course program chair listed below to add your name to our short course mailing list. Suggestions for future topics and short course speakers are also welcome. You're invited to share them by contacting Dr. Bob Dubin, (650) 592-0315
