David Llewelyn

David W. Llewelyn received his Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas in 1986 and a Masters of Science in Electrical an Computer Engineering from the University of Texas in 1991.

From 1986 through 1988 he was a Product Design Engineer with Delco Products Division of General Motors, working in the design, development and manufacture of convenience options for the General Motors automotive divisions.

In 1989 he moved to the Delco Products manufacturing operations in Juarez, Mexico, as a Manufacturing Engineering Project Manager. There he managed the procurement and installation of surface mount assembly lines to support the production of convenience options produced by Delco. During this period from 1989 through 1990 he also worked as an Adjunct Professor for the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Texas, El Paso, managing a research and development team working on machine vision applications in surface mount assembly processes.

In 1991 he joined LTX Corporation in San Jose, California, and is currently the Manager of Manufacturing and Manufacturing Systems Engineering where he manages a team of engineers in new product introductions of automatic test equipment fo the semiconductor industry. LTX Corporation is a leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of computer-controlled systems for testing linear, digital and mixed signal devices.

He has been actively involved in the Santa Clara Valley Section CPMT Society Chapter for the past five years, serving as Treasurer during 1993 and 1994 and as Chapter Chair since 1995.
